Glasses remain a luxury for many.
Hundreds of millions of people worldwide suffer from vision loss that limits their lives. A simple aid like glasses can often solve this, but in developing countries, access to eye care is still an elusive dream. In Uganda by example, with a population of 45 million, there are fewer than ten active eye care professionals: a shortage that leaves many in darkness.
Here, vision loss is not just a medical problem, but a life-altering disaster. It means loss of work, independence, and hope for a better future. Without eye care, millions remain trapped in a vicious circle of poverty and hopelessness.
What we do.
-
Eye exams and glasses for people in needOur core mission is clear: to provide global access to essential eye care by making free eye exams and prescription glasses available to communities in need. Thanks to Global Vision 2020's innovative technology, we can perform quick and simple eye exams using the USee Vision Kitâ„¢ system. This system allows for accurate measurements without the need for specialized equipment or extensive training, enabling custom-fit glasses to be assembled within minutes. All of this comes at a cost of just a few euros per pair of glasses.
-
Training localsIn addition to providing glasses and eye exams, we focus on training local communities. By teaching local individuals how to conduct eye exams and distribute glasses, we create a sustainable impact. Our approach is based on the principle of knowledge transfer: using simple methodologies and technologies to empower local caregivers to operate independently. This not only enhances access to eye care but also strengthens the self-sufficiency of communities.
-
Encouraging as a business modelThe mission is not just about providing immediate aid but also about building a sustainable system and infrastructure. By teaching local entrepreneurs how to source glasses affordably and sell them at a profit, we create economic opportunities and make eye care accessible. In the long term, this establishes a strong foundation where communities can thrive independently of external support.
With innovative technology, local collaboration and a sustainable model, we provide not only sight, but also hope and independence to communities in need. Our approach goes beyond aid; we are building a future where eye care is accessible, affordable and sustainable.

How we do this.
Thanks to the technology of our partner Global Vision 2020, we can perform simple and fast eye measurements with the USee Vision Kit™ system. This system allows accurate measurements without specialized equipment or lengthy training, so that custom glasses can be assembled in minutes.
Where we do this.
We believe that clear vision should have no borders. That’s why we aim to bring eye care to vulnerable communities pretty much everywhere: as long as local laws allow us to make a difference. You’ll find us in places like Kenya, Uganda, Nepal, Mozambique, and Namibia, working alongside local partners to reach those who need it most.

As a young organization gaining hands-on experience, we’re currently focusing on politically stable regions. Our mission is bold, but we believe in building a strong foundation first: learning, growing, and preparing to go even further in the years ahead.
Our first mission kicks off soon!
We’re heading to Ghana at the end of May and early June 2025, in collaboration with Global Vision 2020 and IDE. Stay tuned for updates from the field!
